We do. All cards apart from American Express are accepted at the Farm Park entrance and for refreshments and shop purchases but we are only able to accept cash for tractor and trailer rides.
No we don’t have an ATM machine on the farm.
We serve light refreshments such as home-made sandwiches, sausage rolls, toasted teacakes, biscuits, cakes, and hot & cold drinks. Please note that no hot meals are served.
Yes of course. Outside is a perfect setting to enjoy your picnic and inside there are many picnic tables to take cover from the sun or rain. However, we do request that you take picnic rubbish home with you.
Even if the weather isn’t great, there’s still loads of fun to be had at Hesketh Farm Park. We have a huge amount of undercover area which includes our animal handling and feeding area, our large sandpit, pedal tractors for under 3’s and over 3’s, straw maze, slide and climbing equipment.
Come rain or shine, whatever the weather, there’s always lots to see and do.

Yes, the majority of the Farm Park is accessible for all, with wide flat areas undercover in our two barns and many accessible areas outside. There is disabled parking right outside the entrance and a disabled toilet too. In addition, our tractor and trailer ride is accessible to wheelchairs.
Pregnant women should avoid contact with newborn lambs and goat kids, and like all other visitors, ensure that they wash their hands frequently with warm water and antibacterial soap. If you have any queries, please ask a member of staff.
Hesketh Farm Park is a non-smoking and vaping farm. If you wish to smoke or vape whilst you are on site, please ask a member of staff who can direct you to a suitable area.
We have a first aid room and qualified first aiders on site at all times. Please notify a member of staff if you require any assistance.
Unfortunately, we only allow guide dogs into the Farm Park and also recommend that you do not leave dogs in your car under any circumstances.

At Hesketh Farm Park we’ve got plenty of hand wash stations, each with warm water, antibacterial soap, and hand towel. Around the Farm you will find hand washing facilities available near each animal contact area, and plenty of basins by the toilets too. Please supervise the washing of your children’s hands immediately after leaving an animal contact area, before eating and drinking and after touching footwear.
Please note that sanitising hand gels do not provide adequate protection alone. They are not a substitute for thorough hand washing but can be of value if used as an additional measure.
We really hope your visit to Hesketh Farm Park is enjoyable and you love meeting and interacting with our animals. However, contact with any animals carries a risk of infection, so we ask that you follow our health & safety guidelines to reduce the risk of ill health. Farm animals carry a number of infections that can be harmful to people, for example, E.Coli and Cryptosporidium – many animals carry these infections even when they appear clean and healthy. The bacteria will be in the animal’s droppings and may be on the animal’s body, or on fences and surfaces in and around the Farm. Touching animals, fences and other surfaces can thus lead to infection, as you may pick up these bacteria and accidentally pass them to your mouth. It only takes a small number of the bacteria to cause infection.
The best and simplest way to reduce the risk of infection is to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after you have had contact with animals.
