Fun Family Five Star Day Out

Hesketh Farm Park is set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, just 1 mile from the picturesque village of Bolton Abbey and 5 miles from the market town of Skipton. The Farm Park is idyllic, with around 10 acres of greenery overlooking the Yorkshire hills and the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam train whistling by in the valley below.

Hesketh Farm is still a working farm with over 1,000 livestock including cattle, sheep and pigs. Today it is run by Chris and his wife Sue who are the fourth generation to farm here. We are also an award winning farm park in the large diversification category of the 2023 British Farming awards.

As Dales’ weather can be unpredictable we have a large cosy, undercover barn with an efficient heating system so that your day will be still fun-packed even if it’s chilly outside.
There’s lots to do, including feeding and stroking the animals, having fun inside – maybe in the giant sandpit or playing hide and seek with your friends in the straw maze.
If you’re feeling peckish we have a small cafe from which you can enjoy a delightful homemade snack.

Our café

After all that fun and running around you may want to relax and enjoy something light from our own small café. We serve hot and cold drinks, home baking, sandwiches, light bites, ice creams and snacks available from our café. All major credit cards are accepted for refreshments and shop purchases.

Plan your visit

The majority of the Farm Park is accessible for all, with wide, flat areas undercover in our two barns and many accessible areas outside. We have an excellent heating system to keep you toasty and warm inside. Toilets, including disabled facilities, are provided.

Events

Whether it’s lambing in spring, chicks at Easter or the arrival of any of our newborns. We have lots of interesting and fun things to see and do at Hesketh Farm Park throughout the year, whatever the weather.

Fantastic day out

August 2024

Good mixture of outdoor and indoor activities depending on the weather. Loads of picnic tables also both inside and outside. Good on-site parking. The entrance fee is reasonable. The tractor and trailer ride is extra but certainly worth it.

A wonderful day out

August 2024

It’s an absolutely wonderful farm!! All the animals were beautiful and the farm was immaculate. The play equipment was really impressive - we went with a group of children ranging from 3 to 10 and they all thoroughly enjoyed it. We’ll be back.
